NVIDIA has officially featured Frogwares’ upcoming survival horror sequel, The Sinking City 2, in its June 2026 DLSS lineup announcement. The tech giant confirmed that the playable PC demo, originally released during Steam Next Fest, fully integrates both NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation.

This technical addition arrives at a crucial time. Transitioning from the detective-focused gameplay of the 2019 original to a hardcore survival horror experience, The Sinking City 2 shifts the setting to the flooded, decaying streets of drowned Arkham. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game demands heavy hardware performance to render its atmospheric fog, waterlogged ruins, and grotesque Lovecraftian terrors.

Unreal Engine 5 titles are notoriously taxing on modern PC builds, and The Sinking City 2 is no exception. Rendering a city submerged in dark water requires complex global illumination and real-time reflections. For players attempting to run the demo at higher resolutions, utilizing NVIDIA DLSS integration has become practically mandatory to achieve stable frame rates.

By utilizing AI-powered reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution renders the game at a lower base resolution before upscaling it, preserving the fine details of Arkham’s rotten gothic architecture.
